Designing a low friction checkout experience that integrates upsells naturally within the product flow, reducing drop-off and encouraging user adoption, driving intuitive purchasing.

Overview

As part of the business pivot, Vimeo redefined its monetisation strategy, shifting from storage-based pricing to a per-seat model to maximize the value of its video collaboration features. This transformation required a seamless way for users to purchase additional seats without disrupting their workflow.

Our pod was tasked with reimagining the checkout experience to minimise friction and drive conversion. Previously, inviting a new team member redirected users to an external payment page, causing workflow interruptions and drop-offs.

Our challenge was to integrate pricing upsells directly within the collaboration flow, ensuring a low-friction, intuitive purchase experience that empowered account owners to seamlessly manage their teams and video projects.
